Carsten was absolutely incredible to our family. He was polite friendly and very courteous. He knew a lot about the area and was able to answer our questions when we had any. The view was amazing the boat ride was fantastic. Swimming at sanibel island was like living a dream! We found sand dollars, seen dolphins, collected shells. I would definitely recommend this trip! The most amazing and fun day ever with Capt Jenni! She took us shelling on Cayo Costa island, and on the way out she told us about the history of what we were seeing, and then there were dolphins everywhere! A stop for lunch on Cabbage Key, and then off to a secret sandbar to jump in the water and where Capt Jenni told us all about the amazing sea creatures that we were seeing, and shells with little critters inside. Capt Jenni made us feel like we were family, and we so enjoyed every minute of our excursion. Book your trip now. You won’t go wrong with Capt Jenni at the helm!

We just spent two full days bass fishing with Captain Mark Rose on Lake Okeechobee. I’ve been bass fishing in my entire life and I’ve never experienced anything like this. The lake was absolutely beautiful with tons of wildlife including flamingos and alligators. Once we started fishing, it was game on. My son and I quickly lost count of how many fish we caught including three bass that were 25 inches plus and between 6 1/2 and 8 1/2 pounds. Captain Mark was the best charter Captain we have ever fished with. He really made it a great time and was just as excited about catching the fish as we were. It was very clear that he loves bass fishing and truly enjoys teaching other people how to do it. All of the equipment, including the boat was top-notch. We are already planning a return trip for next year.

Dj was great had a blast hoping to come back soon had us on fish even on a windy day would highly recommend.

We absolutely had a blast on this he excursion if we come back will be booking again. We went to two different islands and found tons of shells. We also paid extra to go to cabbage keys and thought that was worth it.

This was an amazing tour! Carsten was so personable and kind. He was very accommodating with how we wanted to spend the 4 hours. We did a canal tour and then he took us to a quiet spot on Sanibel where the water was shallow and clear. We also saw dolphins three different times. He’s knowledgeable about the area and even gave us restaurant recommendations. Could not recommend this tour enough!

It was very relaxing! We saw some dolphins and went swimming along a quiet beach. The boat was comfortable and there was a decent amount of shade 😎. Carsten was a great captain! We had fun talking during our trip. He was very accommodating.

We had a phenomenal day on the water with Captain Jenni! We were six adults and there was plenty of room for all of us to enjoy the sights & sounds of the islands. Her boat had plenty of comfortable seating as well as dry storage and a cooler for our beverages. We have been visiting Sanibel for 30 plus years and wanted to take our friends out for the day. If you want the most incredible way to experience Sanibel and the islands around it, you have to go out with Captain Jenni at Flip Side Charter. Our family has been boating with her for years, and every trip somehow gets even better. Captain Jenni has spent her entire life on these waters around Sanibel, Captiva, Cabbage Key, Pine Island, and Useppa Island, and her knowledge of the area is amazing. She knows the history, the wildlife, the ecosystems, and the people. It feels less like a tour and more like exploring with a lifelong local friend who truly loves and respects this place. She took us to a beautiful sandbar and a beach that felt like our own little tropical oasis. Along the way she pointed out dolphins, manatees, birds, and other wildlife and shared so much about the environment and sea life around Sanibel and the surrounding islands. It was fun, fascinating, and relaxing all at the same time. We also loved visiting the Useppa Museum to learn about the long history of the area, and, of course, stopping for lunch on Pine Island. Every stop felt special and authentic. One tip: ask if you can climb up to the flying bridge where the view is incredible. Beyond the amazing places we visited, what makes the experience truly special is Captain Jenni herself. She is warm, friendly, welcoming, and makes everyone feel completely safe and comfortable on the boat. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests and about protecting the waters she grew up on. Going out with her has become a yearly tradition for our family and something we always look forward to. If you want to explore Sanibel and the surrounding islands the right way, we can’t recommend Captain Jenni and Flip Side Charter enough. We absolutely love her.

Our guide was very friendly and professional in regards to finding the fish we were after. We caught fish all day and couldn’t be more happy with our experience!

We recently visited the Cape Coral/Ft Myers area for a friend's wedding and decided to make a family vacation out of it. None of us had been to Florida, so we decided to try to squeeze in as much as we could and see as many sights as possible. We found this private guided boat tour and luckily were able to book it with just a couple of days notice. It turned out to be the highlight of our entire trip. The weather was perfect for a boat tour, and we got to see some of the amazing houses along the Cape Coral canals, pass along the Ft Myers Beach area, and spent a short time shelling and swimming at Sanibel Island. We saw manatees, dolphins, and plenty of other local wildlife. Captain Carsten was amazing. He was very personable and made us feel like we had been friends for many years. He was full of information and history of the area and made our tour feel very special. We have two boys, aged 10 and 13, and keeping them entertained can sometimes be a tall order...but they couldn't stop talking about how much fun they had on this boat tour. We can't recommend this enough, and will make it a priority to schedule another tour with Captain Carsten if we make it back to the area.

Carsten was an amazing captain and guide for our sunset cruise. He was easy to chat with and laid back. The boat was absolutely beautiful and comfortable. He found the perfect sunset spot where we enjoyed wildlife and of course the beautiful sky. We cannot recommend Carsten enough, we would 100 percent book again and look forward to it on future trips.
